Today to Genoa they have met the partner of the project TIGER, acronym of Transit via Innovative Gateway concepts solving European - intermodal Rail needs, that it is supported by the EU commission and that has the objective to decongest the traffic in the European ports with new operating solutions, favoring fines it modality. Scope of the encounter was that to make the point on the results reached with Tiger Pilot and to plan the next months of the European project Tiger Demo.

A specific part of the Tiger project is the Genoa Fast Corridor who regards the Corridor 24 Genoa-Rotterdam and that he has as objective the decongestione of the port of Genoa thanks to the use of the railway net and to infrastructures of the dry port in the outback, the realization of a service door to door of elevated quality thanks to the intermodal solutions and to the computerized technologies, an important reduction of the transit times of the goods inside of the port of Genoa using the tools "extended port" and "railway dry port" and a decrease of the environmental impact in the transport door to door thanks to the use of services of train shuttle untilthe dry port or to the final destination.

The partner of the Genoa Fast Corridor project is Liguria Region, Harbour Authority of Genoa (APG), Rivalta Terminal Europe (RTE) and Terminal Saint George (TSG). Moreover P&T and Novaconsult constitute the technical secretariat, while CircleCap and NewDeal are the technical suppliers.

Inside Tiger Pilot the technical innovations of the project have regard the informatizzazione and the automation of the customs procedures (eCustoms), thanks to the web use services, innovations of process and an integration of systems TOS (Terminal Operating System) with the AIDA system of the Italian customs agency. The use of RFID eSeals in coherence with Multi Annual Strategic Plan of European Customs (MASP) and in collaboration with the European Joint Agency Research Center is tested experimentally. Such activity, moreover, is inserted in the collaboration in being with the Agency of Customs Italian (Il Trovatore project): the way between the port of Genoa is traced in real time (is from ATI - Saint George Terminal/Ignazio Messina & C is from VTE) and dryport (the Rivalta Europe Terminal) of container sealed with RFID. The stations of in wait harbour reading and in wait of the retroporto have found the information on integrity of the seal and the customs state of the container (if of VTE: gone state A3). The terminalista acquires information via CARGO. Moreover a system of tracking and tracing of means of transport is used long all the intermodal logistic chain. Then the system of railway signaling and automation correlated near the dry is designed port, to the aim to ulteriorly optimize also railway handlings in the service shuttle between the port of Genoa and RTE.

The next phase of project is Tiger Demo (Trans-Rail Integrated Goods European-Express Routes Demonstrators), follow up of the Pilot project that is extended in terms of length, duration and operations, having integrated an ulterior railway member, to the aim to become an example from being able to reproduce on wide scale and to use as model of efficientamento for the goods in import from turned Asia, Africa and South America to the Italy north and the Europe center and in export from the south Europe.
