The Calabria Region gives course to the protocol of understanding for the creation of a regional crocieristico system



The Calabria Region has announced the performance in the next few days of the protocol of understanding already approved of from the relative regional committee to the "regional crocieristico system", that it previews to put in net the Region, the Harbour Authority of Gioia Tauro, the Harbour offices of Reggio Calabria, Vibo Valentia, Crotone and Corigliano, the Municipalities of reference, the Provinces of Cosenza, Crotone, Reggio Calabria and Vibo Valentia and the respective Chambers of Commerce to the aim to ulteriorly increase the image and the riconoscibilità of the territory, throwing again "Producing Calabria" on the national and international tourist markets with the objective to increase the tourist flows remarkablly.

The scope is also to tighten important commercial agreements with crocieristiche companies, that they preview the berthing of ships in harbour infrastructures of the Calabria. Between the advertising actions of the territory one proposes also the participation to sector exhibition manifestations. The Calabria Region, through own department Tourism, is engaged in the activity of coordination of the manifestations, in the within of the regional exhibition plan.

"Also in Calabria - it has emphasized the vice president of the Region, Antonella Stasi - there is an offered wide, and more and more increasing, of harbour structures the whose potentialities, for the crocieristico field are in continuous increment. Al moment we count four harbour truths (Crotone, Corigliano, Vibo Valentia and Reggio Calabria) characterized in the within of the "Harbour Plan Master", a strategic written up town-planning instrument from the Region. These truths can carry out an important point of reference for the crocieristico field. Good part of the cruises that potentially could be interested to the Calabria - has found Antonella Stasi - they are those of the small ships of elite, that they accommodate travellers with a greater proclivity to the expense regarding those of the great ships. We have already had some good example of collaboration between institutions and agencies in the recent one passed: that's why we are trusting that this protocol can remarkablly contribute to create those useful synergies for a concrete development of the tourist offer of the Calabria".
