Today an official delegation of the Republic of Serbia has met the president of the Harbour Authority of the East, Francesco Mariani, in the within of the reunions in program in the course of this week with the representatives of the local institutions, and has visited the port of Bari. Al center of the encounter, the transports, the commerce and tourism. To guide the delegation of 130 between operators, representatives of the territory and journalists, there was the mayor of Jagodina, Dragan Markovic, special councilman of Serbian president and appointed al Parlamento, that it has accompanied in official form the minister of the Transports, Aleksandar Antic.

"We head - mayor Markovic has explained in the course of the encounter - at the multimodale trasportistico corridor Bari - Bar - Belgrade and would want that Bari was the central node of the exports in Serbia and the Balkans. The improvement of the railway net in the feature Belgrade-Bar would allow to increase the numbers of tourism also in Apulia, considered the fact that the street transport would increase of 30% and this to all advantage of those Serbian tourists that today their vacations to the sea pass, in Greece or Turkey and that tomorrow, instead, more easy could reach the Apulia through the port of Bar, with marine connection".

The minister of the Transports of Serbia, which already in recent days in the within of the had official encounters with the representatives of the institutional premises had proposed to increase the commercial interchange between Italy and Serbia through the port of Bari, has confirmed the location of the Apulia as new destination regarding the traditional goals of Serbian tourism (Greece, Turkey, Montenegro) having found very competitive the apulian tourist section and in optimal state of health. To such Aleksandar Antic purpose Belgrade-Bar has announced financings for 200 million euros for the revitalization of the railway feature whose work could be concluded within short time. "In this way - it has concluded the minister - the port of Bari would become an important point of transit for Serbia".

The president of the Harbour Authority of the East, Francesco Mariani, that he has illustrated the possibilities of development of the intermodal route Bari - Bar - Belgrade through the projects of cooperation already started, first of all ADB Multiplatform Project, has received with favor the proposals and the declarations of the exponents of the Serbian delegation evidencing that "Bari always proposes more which hub in the Mediterranean space oriental, through the development of its intermodal function and the strategic potenziamento of own immaterial assets, for giving added value to the entire logistic chain". Of the project the experience of the case is illustrated pilot for which already a public ban of financing for the enterprises is adjudicated. The enterprise highest bidder, the Morfimare Srl, will develop to the intermodal route (cabotage + iron) Bariums Belgrade Bar, with distributions towards the Black Sea.

In the course of the encounter with the Serbian delegation Intermodadria, the European project is introduced also that has the objective to short increase to the competitiveness of the marine transport beam and its integration in the logistic chain, to support the infrastructural investments for accessibility of the ports earth and to promote political actions and financial instruments in order to favor the modal transfer. Own Intermodadria will propose in the next few months, as case pilot, a marine route Monopoly in order to support religious tourism.

To conclusion of the visit, the minister of the Transports Serbian has complimented himself for the quality of the projects interim and has invited the planners of the Harbour Authority of the East to an encounter to Belgrade in order to verify the feasibility and the concrete development of the project activities.
