Tomorrow to Genoa the conclusive conference of the project will hold "Wind, Ports and Sea"



Tomorrow to Genoa, in the center of the Harbour Authority to Saint George Palace, the conclusive conference of "Wind, Ports will hold and Sea", the project that constitute the prosecuzione and the potenziamento of the project "Wind and Ports" that it has developed a net of monitoring, a numerical modellistica, a mapping statistics and a system of forecast to focused mean and short term on the wind and the harbour area. The new project extends the net of monitoring, the numerical modellistica and in the mid term forecasts to the billowy motion and the before watery mirror to the ports partner of the project. Al project, than is carried out in 26 months (19 june 2013 - 31 July 2015) and is financed through the program of "Marine" Italy cross-border cooperation/France 2007-2013 (Liguria, Tuscany, Sardinia, Corsica), besides the Harbour Authority of Genoa (front man), participates the Harbour Authority of Livorno, the University of Genoa, Department of Engineering of the Constructions, the Atmosphere and Territory (DICCA), the Harbour Authority of Savona, the Harbour Authority of and the Chambre de Commerce ET of Industries de Fortification ET de the Haute-Corse.

The integrated system wind-waves realized with the project affords to increase safety and accessibility of the ports in relation to the conditions local weather-navy. The relative data to the monitoring and the forecasts are made available to the harbour users through an upgrade of the system web-GIS realized for the project "Wind and Ports" and the realization of a new interface for smartphone. These information constitute the foundation that can afford to harbour agencies and operators better to plan the operating activities and to place in being all those actions of prevention to the aim of protecting safety and physical integrity of who it works and, at the same time, to assure the operativity and the efficiency of means and structures.
