On 3 November to Livorno the new Port Center will be inaugurated



Livorno, after Genoa, will be the second harbour city in Italy to equip itself of a modern Port Center. "Draft - it has emphasized the extraordinary commissioner of the Harbour Authority of Livorno, Giuliano Gallanti - of an initiative of highest cultural and social value. The inauguration of this museum laboratory high tech, that it will rise in the heart of the city in the Mansion of the Captain of the Old Fortress, is in program exactly on 3 November and in order to celebrate the event the Harbour Authority of the Leighorn port of call, in collaboration with the International Association Villes ET Ports (AIVP) and with Assoporti, it has organized an international workshop. For the occasion Sala Ferretti of the Old Fortress will accommodate representatives of the city institutions and personality of international level. They will be you anticipate, between the others, the president of the AIVP, Philippe Matthis, the number one of the port of Dublino, Eamonn O'Reilly, the director of the social transactions of the port of Rotterdam, Henk de Bruijn, and the director of the Port Center of Antwerp, Philippe Demoulin. Besides the general secretary of Assoporti, Paolo Ferrandino; to the mayor of Livorno, Filippo Nogarin and to the president of the Province of Livorno, Alessandro Franchi, will participate to the event also the general secretary of the association of European shipowners (ECSA), Patrick Verhoeven, than for the occasion he will on 1° September introduce its thesis of doctorate discussed to Antwerp and dedicated to the topic of the reform of the governance of the European Harbour Authorities. The publication will be illustrated in a round table ad hoc who will see the participation of the president of the Harbour Authority naval of Carrara, Francesco Messineo, and of the number one of Confetra, Nereo Marcucci.

The Port Center, whose exhibition room will be inaugurated during the international workshop on 3 November, will be totally operating beginning from the next year, but the 18, 19 and 20 are previewed extraordinary openings Decembers, from hours 10,00 to the 18.00.
