Boskalis signs a letter of attempts in order to buy the activities in the marine and offshore field of the VolkerWessels



The marine group Dutch Royal Boskalis has undersigned a letter of attempts in order to buy the activities in the marine and offshore field for wind energy of the VolkerWessels compatriot. This last one, a ingegneristico group that work mainly in the sections of the constructions and infrastructures and in that of the telecommunications, is active in the field of wind energy with the VBMS, that 50:50 with the same Boskalis, and the branches Stemat and Volker Stevin International (VSI is joint venture). According to the forecasts, the cession could be capacity to term in the course of according to trimester of this year with retroactive effect from on January 1°, 2016.

This - it has concluded Berdowski - is a logical step and favorable for Boskalis in the within of its strategy it turns to strengthen own offer of services in the offshore one".

With the performance of the Boskalis agreement it would acquire therefore having remained 50% of the VBMS capital, European company leader in the field of the installation of cables for the offshore industry, let alone the Stemat, that it has a naval means fleet constituted mainly by ships puts down cables and from multipurpose units, and the VSI, that it is specialized in the realization of the foundations of structures offshore. Moreover between the end of the 2014 and half of the 2015 joint venture Boskalis in with the VSI it has acquired the rights for the realization of the two great wind parks offshore of Wikinger and Veja Mate, activities that if the agreement will be carried to term will be carried out entirely by Boskalis.

Boskalis and VolkerWessels have specified that the revenues of the activities that would be yielded to Boskalis, with the exclusion of the projects for the two wind parks, pile to about 200 million euros per year and generate an EBITDA pairs to about 30 million euros.
