In the first trimester of this year the traffic of the goods in the port of Livorno has grown of +6.6%



In the first trimester of the 2016 port of Livorno has enlivened 8,15 million tons of goods, with an increment of +6.6% regarding 7,65 million tons in the correspondent period of 2015. In the field of the container the traffic has been of 2,35 million tons (+18.2%) and is totaled with a handling of containers pairs to 201.364 teu (+16.9%). The Harbour Authority of the Leighorn port of call has specified that excluded the transfer containerized trade, in the first three months of this year is enlivened 139,012 teus (+7.3%), with the determining result achieved from container full (+9.3%) while more contained it has been the increase recorded in handling of empty (+1.3%). In the section of the rotabili a total handling of 91.120 means (+10.0% is found). With 501 thousand tons the forest produced ones have shown an increment of +17.1%. Handling of the new cars of factory has been of 139 thousand unit (+26.6%).

"If this trend of increase had to continue also in the next few months - the extraordinary commissioner of the Harbour Authority of Livorno has commented, Giuliano Gallanti - in the 2016 could last year surpass newly the achieved historical record in the traffic of the containers, exceeding the threshold of 800 thousand teus".
