the Senate has rejected the nomination of Spirit to president of the AdSP of Mare Tirreno Centrale



Yesterday the Eighth Commission (Public works, communications) of the Senate has approved of the proposal of nomination of Paolo Emilio Signorini to president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Ligure Occidentale, while it has rejected the proposal of nomination of Pietro Spirito to president of the Authority of Harbour System of Mare Tirreno Centrale. The proposals were yield of the understandings reach between the minister of Infrastructures and the Transports and the presidents of the interested regional agencies, that is respective Liguria and Campania.

Between the participations of the senators with respect to the proposal of nomination of Spirit to president of the AdSP of Mare Tirreno Centrale, that he will have jurisdiction on the ports of Naples and Salerno, Stefano Esposito (PD), preannouncing own contrary ballot, has explained to consider that the candidate is not suitable for the role and has remembered to have personally known Spirit when the same one covered a assignment of leader in ATAC, the company for transport public transport of the Municipality of Rome, moreover in an anomalous condition of service to part time without presence obligation, while he carried out also the activity of general manager of the Interporto of Bologna. Aracri has specified to consider that such circumstance, as also the fact that the candidate has worked almost mostly in the public sector, returns it inadequate to the proposed assignment.

Contrary ballot is expressed also by senator Andrea Cioffi (M5S), that it has evidenced as the critics expressed from the colleagues senators about the inadequacy of the profile of the candidate demonstrate to the opacity of the criteria used for its choice and therefore all the defects of the procedure previewed from the enforced norms.
