The Chambers of Commerce AlpMed evidence the importance of the realization of Tav Torino-Lione



The Chambers of Commerce of the Euroregione the Alps-Mediterranean (AlpMed) Rhône-Alpes-Auvergne, Corsica, Liguria, Piemonte, Provence-Alpes-Côte-Azur, Sardinia and Valle d'Aosta have evidenced the importance for the economic and occupational development of the realization of the new railway line to high ability/high Turin-Lyon speed.

Emphasizing that "such line represents a project of exceptional capacity, the whose stake is represented by geostrategic challenges, economic and environmental ones", in a note the Chambers of Commerce have remembered that "France represents the main commercial partner for the Piedmontese enterprises" and that "in the solo the 2017 Piemonte has, in fact, exported goods in France for 6,4 billion euros, 13.4% of the total of the value of the regional exports. The sales of producing made in Piemonte in close Country of oltralpe moreover have grown in the last year little less of 10%".

The Chambers of Commerce AlpMed have explained that "the Turin-Lyon line, central element of the great railway corridor Mediterranean Algeciras-Budapest (that it arrives until in Asia, through the new ways of the silk) affording the flows East-West and north-south, will represent an important challenge for the creation of the entire European net of the transports. Its realization - they have specified - is however strongly supported by the European Union that co-finances the transboundary tunnel covering 40% of the total costs.

For the Chambers of Commerce AlpMed, "the Turin-Lyon line - interconnected with the two great European corridors Genoa-Rotterdam and Marseilles-Rotterdam - will be essential an attractive element for the Euroregione and will afford a better connection with the heart of Europe, having limited the risk of a territorial marginalization".

"It appears therefore obvious - they have observed the Chambers of Commerce - as for the development of our enterprises, more and more tied to the international markets, to invest in infrastructures and in particular in those which they connect the Piemonte with the Countries with which it entertains the main commercial relations economic, turns out unavoidable and fundamental by now".

The Turin-Lyon high-speed line is fundamental and will afford to our goods of being protagonists first of all in France, our first market of reference, and then in all Europe. It is of these days the ok to the Praga-Dresda high-speed line: the European Countries, with vision of the future, have understood that from the development of our territories passes here. We cannot be less".
