Fincantieri and Leonardo strengthen the collaboration in the field of the military ships throwing again joint venture OSN



Fincantieri and Leonardo have agreed the guiding principles of an understanding in the field of the military ships in order to pick at best the new challenges on the international markets to the aim to introduce combined solutions. The agreement, in the within of the started relationship of collaboration and preferred partnership from companies in October 2014, has the scope to value the mutual competences developed in national within in an optical of System Country.

Such valorization will pass through throws again of Horizon Naval Systems (OSN), joint venture participated from Fincantieri and Leonardo with quotas respective 51% and 49%, to which both the parts have previewed to confer resources that they will allow them to assume the responsibility of the System of Combat, being defined which requisitioned and architecture of the single members, comprised the Combat Management System (CMS) into which Leonardo will consolidate so as preferred partner as for the systems and the apparatuses of the system ship. From part its Fincantieri will carry out the role of First Contractor, only interface towards the customer and in charge of the combatant ship in its complex (Design Authority of the Whole Warship), therefore in charge of the architecture of the system ship it is regarding the platform that the System of Combat through OSN.

Fincantieri and Leonardo have specified that the understanding will be object of next binding agreements that the parts will define in the respect of the profiles applicable regolators, included those in matter of operations between correlated parts there and antitrust.
