Last appeal to investor interested to the granari silos of the port of Cagliari before to proceed to their demolition



The Authority of Harbour System of the Sea of Sardinia has launch a last appeal to potential investor interested to the reconversion of the silos of the Pier Rebirth in the port of Cagliari before to proceed to their demolition. Only 12 days lack in fact useful time for the presentation of eventual technical proposals and commercial for giving a new one it dresses and functionality to the industrial park located in the heart of the historical port of the Sardinian chief town.

"Unfortunately - the president of the AdSP has explained, Massimo Deiana - we have reached to a junction. From the requirement to resort here to an extreme public appeal through the average, so that some eventual interested operator can introduce a formal manifestation for the consent in concession and next reconversion of the silos. Although features of a remarkable investment, are obvious that a structure of that sort, above all for the dimensions and the strategic position in the heart of the port and the waterfront of the city - has emphasized Deiana - covers however an undeniable one appeal for who has interest to invest in activities turned to the field of the sea or tourism. My auspice is that, within end of month, some concrete demand can reach that asks for the imminent one, but at this point necessary, demolition of the compendium, than we cannot ourselves be afforded to maintain in the conditions in which it is found. The structure occupies, in fact, an immense area in the sterile operating-commercial part of the port and inhibits the use of a space still immenser, than about half hectare, that it currently turns out interdict for safety reasons".

The manufactured one, realized in first years 70 from then the Farmers Consortium of the Province of Cagliari, is composed of three distinguished bodies: a high tower services 54,40 meters that were used after the elevators for the raising of the cereals, 21 cells for storage, surpassed manufacturing to delineate for a height of 44 meters, a cabin of transformation of seven meters of height and a building to three plans used to offices of the staff, lodging of the caretaker and room commands. It has been, but - it has remembered the harbour agency - the presentation of seven various demands for access to the progettuale documentation of the structure, stimulated from the determination of the summits of the agency to try to safeguard the manufactured product (choice shared with the municipal administration), to make to suspend, for a limited period, the procedures for the discouragement of the manufactured one. The AdSP therefore has activated a procedure face to speed up the market to the presentation of an eventual proposal that could throw again the area to the root of the Rebirth, with the publication of the technical documentation of the silos and the invitation to all the interested subjects to take of vision. A distance - it has specified the authority - than, in spite of the maximum publicity attributed to the procedure, has not produced today the hoped results and, therefore, the choice to place a final deadline to eventual proposals with 31 expiration March 2019, date after which the Authority of System inexorably will be forced to proceed to the demolition of the entire structure.
