In the within of ban CEF (Connecting Europe Facility) Transport the 2018 EU commission has proposed to invest 421 million euros in 69 projects whose objective is to improve and to return infrastructures surer than transport and to diminish of the environmental impact. The quota more consisting of the resources, pairs to 109 million euros, will be destined to finance the development of multimodali logistic platforms for the transfer of cargos between the various modalities of transport. Important quotas are destined also to finance the intelligent systems of transport for the street field (80,2 million euros) and initiatives in the field of the innovation and the new technologies (71,4 million euros).

By Italian part 29 projects are introduced, with demands for financing pairs to a total of 119,1 million euros, and of these the proposals selected from the EU commission are 14 for a previewed total financing of 42,5 million euros (of which 28,0 million for proposals in national within and 14,4 million for proposals in multinational within, and of which 31,5 million destined to the financing of studies and 11,0 million to the realization of works).

The 14 selected Italian projects are the following ones: "Saving lives assessing and improving TEN-t road Networks safety" (recognized financing 195 thousand euros), "To European FEderated Network of Information eXchange in Logistics" (10,37 million euros), "sAFE" (274 thousand), "Green and Connected Ports (GREEN C PORTS)" (309 thousand), "FEDeRATED" (1,68 million), "Interoperability of the rail system with TAF TSI in TRY Corridors (the RAIL)" (1,58 million), "C-ROADS ITALY" (6,87 million), "InGE - Innovative solutions for Intermodal node ‘Genoa Erzelli’" (701 thousand), "INTERFACE: Renovating the access to the Cores port of Palermo and its interactions with the urban environment" (742 thousand), "Veneto Region coordinated initiative enhancing Core intermodal nodes" (2,02 million), "ERTMS deployment on the SCANMED Corridor (Verona - Bologna section)" (9,47 million), "SMART-C - Port of call MArotti viRTual Corridor" (542 thousand), "Designing multimodal freight platforms bridging northern Emilia and southern Lombardy to the TRY Network" (1,65 million) and "E-BRIDGE. Emergency and BRoad Information Development for the ports of Genoa jib" (6,09 million).
