October 2, 2020
Confetra FVG complained that "this concrete possibility however, it is thwarted by the deafness of the rooms and the lack of awareness of politicians principle of extra-customs: in practice - explained association -- it is opposed that the EU customs code includes the port of Trieste between the Free Community zones and not outside the customs territories, forgetting that it was and is Member State's competence to indicate to the European Union which are the extra-customs territories, including the port of Trieste, as enshrined in rules of public international law, Italy, willingly or unwillingly, is obliged to respect. The Franco Port regime - pointed out Confetra FVG - should be used to create economy, jobs and wealth on our territory and not experienced as an anomaly to be scanned."
In this regard, the association expressed optimism, specifying that yesterday, "after a special hearing at which we have actively contributed, the Council of the Autonomous Region Friuli Venezia Giulia passed a motion, voted by all political parties present, which engages the President of the Region to demand full respect for extra customs port and the initiation of the necessary government procedures in make that sense. We will see - pointed out Confetra FVG - if in Rome the political encephalogram will remain flat or will come some sign of life. Let's be clear, we're not going to to bend the head: work, seriousness and results. These are our values and as entrepreneurs we demand from the institutions accuracy, since talking about speed is not just the case."
