They ended last night, under the coordination of the Guardia
Milazzo coast, the operations of disentanglement of the ferry
Lider Prestij, formerly owned by the company
Tirrenia, beached on Saturday night along the coast
of the Sicilian town of Rometta Marea, devoid of
fuel and unmanned on board. After an initial check
regarding the integrity of the hull, which has been positively
by the personnel of the 3rd Underwater Unit of the Guard
Messina coast, the ship was disentangled with
the use of local tugboats that then drove the unit
up to the mooring in the port of Milazzo.
The motor vessel will now be put into operation
Coast Guard Inspection to Verify Standards of
safety of navigation.
