Last year, Montenegrin ports handled 2.46 million tons of goods, with an increase of +2.2% on the previous year. 2023, of which 1.41 million tons at embarkation (0%) and 1.05 million tons million tons at landing (+5.4%). In 2024 traffic alone handled with Italian ports amounted to 329 thousand tons (+58.4%), of which 144 thousand tons went to Italy (+23.1%) and 184 thousand tons from Italian airports (+104,4%). In addition, passenger traffic in the ports of Montenegro was 665 thousand people (+16.1%), of which 629 thousand in transit (+9.7%).

In the fourth quarter of 2024, the total traffic of the was 595 thousand tons, with a decrease of -17.8% on the same period last year, of which 269 thousand tons on board (-43.3%) and 327 thousand on landing (+30.9%). The traffic to and from Italy alone stood at 83 thousand tons (+59.4%), with 11 thousand tons departing from ports Montenegrins (-78.4%) and 72 thousand arriving (+4,211.1%). In the sector of passengers traffic was 115 thousand people (-0.7%) all in transit.
