Fincantieri has signed with the state-owned company Albanian Kayo a memorandum of understanding aimed at launching A strategic collaboration to promote the development of of the shipbuilding and shipbuilding industry in the Balkan country. The agreement intends to jointly explore opportunities for construction and management of naval and shipbuilding infrastructures, the construction and maintenance of naval units, as well as the implementation of technical training initiatives and professional. The goal is to create an industrial ecosystem innovative, sustainable and with high added value, able to support the country's needs in the field of naval defense and stimulate the economic growth of the territory. The memorandum also provides for the possibility that Fincantieri and Kayo may to create a reference point for the construction and naval refitting in the region.

Kayo is active in the security and defense sector and provides products and services to the Albanian Armed Forces.
