It seems now to be behind the long period in which the Chinese ports, except for a few months mainly in the acute phase of the Covid-19 pandemic, recorded a sustained growth of the traffic of the goods enlivened on the docks. A progressive attenuation of the positive trend, almost azzeratosi, that is confirmed from the volumes totaled to May 2026 that are results pairs to 1,57 billion tons of goods, with a decrease of the -1,0% on the May of last year, of which 1,00 billion tons enlivened from the marine ports (-0.4%) and 570,0 million from the internal ports (- 2.1%).

Among the main ports for volume of traffic, last month is result in decrease the traffic enlivened from the ports of Ningbo-Zhoushan (117,3 million tons, -4,8%), Shanghai (68,9 million tons, -2,0%), Guangzhou (58.7 million tons, -0,5%) and Tianjin (51.5 million tons, -2,4%), while the volumes in the ports of Tangshan are increased (77,5%)

Last month the only traffic of the container enlivened from the Chinese ports has been pairs to 31,3 million teu (+3.1%), of which 27,5 million teu in the marine ports (+2.9%) and 3,8 million teu in the internal ports (+4.4%). The greater volume of containerized traffic has been enlivened from the port of Shanghai with 4,8 million teu (+3.0%) followed by the ports of Ningbo-Zhoushan with 3,8 million teu (+0.8%), Shenzhen with 3,2 million teu (+9.3%), Qingdao with 3,0 million teu (+5.6%), Guangzhou with 2,5 million teu (+1.2%), Tianjin with 2,3

In May 2026 the only traffic with the foreign enlivened from the Chinese ports has been pairs altogether to 476,7 million tons (0%), of which 430,0 million tons enlivened from the marine ports (+0.4%) and 46,7 million tons from the inland port (-4.0%). Among the main ports for volume of international goods, last month the port of Ningbo-Zhoushan has enlivened 52,9 million tons (- 6.1%), the port of Qingdao 49,9 million tons (+7.5%), the port of Shanghai 40,6 million tons (- 1.5%), the port of Tangshan 31.8 million tons (+4.0%), the port of Tianjin 30.8 million tons

In the first five months of the 2026 the total of the goods enlivened from the Chinese ports is piled to 7,51 billion tons, with a progression of +2.2% on the same period last year, of which 4,87 billion tons enlivened from the marine ports (+3.4%) and 2,64 billion from the internal ports (+0.2%). The only traffic with the abroad has been attested to 2,36 billion tons of cargos (+4.4%), of which 2,13 billion through the marine ports (+4.8%) and 46,7 million through the inland port (+0.6%). In the single field of the container the total data has been of 151,6 million teu (+6.3%), included 133,6 million teu enlivened from the marine ports (+6,4%) and 17,1 million teu from the internal ports (+5.7%).
