Engineer Ilya Espino de Marotta is the first woman to
take on the position of administrator of the Canal Authority
of Panama. The mandate of the office, which has begun
officially yesterday with the handover with
the outgoing administrator Ricaurte Vásquez Morales, will have

technical, operational and executive sectors of the Authority by starting the
