Federlogistica has signed a memorandum of undertanding with the Chinese Xiamen Port Holding Group aimed at the development of the port, logistics and trade cooperation between the port of Genoa and that of Xiamen in the Chinese province of Fujian. The agreement mainly provides for the drafting of a study of feasibility for a maritime connection between the two ports port areas. The agreement represents the first concrete implementation of the most extensive memorandum signed on 22 June between Federlogistica and the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade - Fujian Provincial Council as part of the institutional mission promoted by the Liguria Region.

The agreement provides for the exchange of information on the management of customs procedures and digital platforms, projects in the automotive, battery, electronics, agri-food and e-commerce, on the Common solutions for international warehouses and customs logistics as well as on initiatives dedicated to smart ports, green technologies and sustainability.

"Xiamen - underlined the president of Federlogistica, Davide Falteri - is one of the great strategic ports of Asia-Pacific and is a key issue for future trade relations between China and Italy. The agreement, signed for Federlogistica by Nicola Di Mascio who played a role opens, a direct path with Genoa and with the Italian logistics, focusing on traffic, innovation, sustainability, industrial logistics and trade development commercial activities. Now we must move forward, with determination, following up on the commitments made and building concrete projects".
