In the second quarter of 2026, freight traffic in ports amounted to 71.10 million tonnes, with a slight decrease of -0.2% on the same period last year, which was was mainly due to the reduction in the volumes of liquid bulk cargo, which fell by -5.8% to 30.01 million tonnes, and by the -1.5% contraction in rolling stock traffic, which state of 13.97 million tons. In particular, in the Haropa port system, 8.92 million tons of liquid bulk cargo handled (+0.2%), 3.02 million tons of dry bulk (+0.9%), 8.20 million of tonnes of containerised goods (+8.4%) with a container handling of 878,722 TEUs (+8.3%), 143 thousand tons of rolling stock (-6.0%) and 249 thousand tons of other goods miscellaneous (+26.7%).

In Marseilles, liquid and solid bulk cargo were equal respectively to 11.30 million tons (-4.5%) and 1.71 million of tonnes (-20.2%), while in the general goods sector 3.84 million tons of containerized goods were handled (+11.3%) with a container flow of 423,418 TEUs (+12.9%), 1.30 million tons of rolling stock (+0.5%) and 486 thousand tons of other loads (+38.3%).
