Next Friday at 10.30 a.m., at the Sala Ferretti
of the Old Fortress in Livorno, the presentation of the
of a volume, edited by Angela Tarabella, dedicated to the history and
to the evolution of the port system that traces thirty years of
transformations, reforms, strategic visions and major works that
have profoundly changed the face of the Livorno port system
and the Upper Tyrrhenian Sea. The event will bring together some of the
protagonists who, at different times and with different roles, have
accompanied the transformations of the port of Livorno and the system
port of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea.
After the welcome and institutional greetings, the program
provides for the introduction of the Promotion and Training manager
of the Port System Authority of the Tyrrhenian Sea
Settentrionale Observatory, Claudio Capuano, the greeting of the director of "Il
Tirreno", Cristiano Marcacci, the editorial framework entrusted to
Maurizio Bettini and the illustration of the contents of the publication
by Angela Tarabella.
The central moment of the morning will be the table
roundabout "Past, Present and Future: thirty years of history
who have redesigned our ports", scheduled from
11.30 to 12.15, moderated by the journalist of "Il Tirreno"
Martina Trivigno. To confront each other will be Nereo Marcucci, Roberto
Piccini, Massimo Provinciali, Stefano Corsini, Luciano Guerrieri and
Davide Gariglio, protagonists of different seasons of the port
Livorno and the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea system. It will be
A dialogue through three decades of history: from the birth of the
Port Authorities and the transformation of the port to the light
of Law 84/1994, to the major transformations of port spaces
and logistical activities; from the Gallanti season to the
birth of the Port System Authority, up to the
marked by the construction of major infrastructures and
from the challenge of the Darsena Europa.
To close the confrontation will be Davide Gariglio, current
president of the Port Authority, called to take up the baton of the
previous seasons and to outline the prospects of the system
port for years to come.
