
DP World has been granted a ten-year extension,
until 2051, of the duration of the concession contract relating to the
multipurpose terminal of the port of Luanda, which the group
terminal operator of Dubai signed on 25 January 2021

December 2020). The Middle Eastern company highlighted that since
2021 invested over $260 million to upgrade and
modernisation of the Angolan terminal and that over the past five years the
container traffic handled by the terminal is almost
doubled from 177 thousand to more than 350 thousand TEUs. In addition,
DP World is planning an additional investment of 90 million
over the next two years to extend the quay of
222 meters and the operating area of 10 hectares, increasing the capacity
of annual traffic to 1.2 million TEUs.
