UNATRAS, the unitary coordination of associations
of road haulage, has asked for an urgent meeting with the government
to unlock the resources planned for the spring under the
dispute over the high cost of diesel, when they had been agreed by the government
and road haulage representatives various measures including a
tax credit for an amount of about 300 million euros, the
compensation of the quarterly excise duty refund within 30 days of the
submission of the application and the possibility of deferring
the payment of taxes.
Today in a note the road haulage federations, while
acknowledging the effort made by the Government with the introduction of the
of the automatism for the recovery of resources in the face of the cut
and the reduction from 60 to 30 days of the terms of
silence-consent for the offsetting of receivables deriving from the
excise duty refund, highlighted the failure to issue the
implementing measures of the agreement reached at Palazzo Chigi on 22
last May.
The trade associations have underlined how the
situation has now become unsustainable due to delays
bureaucratic and operational uncertainties: "the uncertainty about the timing
use of the tax credit by companies, starting from
the postponement of the deadline for the current set-off
set for 31 December, the need for the government to take action
to the European Commission to extend the Temporary Framework
Given the persistence of geopolitical tensions, the lack of
updating of the indicative reference values, without prejudice to the
last March, and an action to contain the price of fuels
Even on the off-grid market - explains the note - there are issues
Crucial and can no longer be postponed".
"We ask the government - concludes the note - a
urgent convocation to unblock these knots and allow the
our companies to overcome this delicate economic phase. In
lack of confrontation, all associations will be forced to
evaluate the next steps".
