FS Logistix, through Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal, has purchased six new locomotives EffiShunter 1000 of the Czech CZ LOKO destined to the goods services and to the activities of maneuver also on the unenlightened lines. This is the fourth order of this type in ten years from the companies of FS Logistix, to confirmation of a consolidated collaboration with the Czech manufacturer. The locomotives are allowed to circulate on the national railway network managed by RFI and the main regional networks.

The EffiShunter 1000 are designed to operate in different contexts: from maneuvers in terminals and ports to online rescue, from services translated to traction of heavy freight convoys in double traction. The power of 895 kW and the maximum traction effort of 267 kN allow to combine performance and reliability with the containment of operating costs, reduced consumption and lower noise levels.

FS Logistix has started the collaboration with CZ LOKO in 2017, with the purchase by Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal of the first five locomotives 744.1 delivered in 2018 and today used in the services of maneuver in Ravenna, Padua and Milan Displacement. In 2021 there were five other locomotives 744.1 in Mercitalia Rail livery, operating in Veneto, Emilia-Romagna, Lombardy and Piedmont. In 2022 Mercitalia Shunting & Terminal acquired two additional units, used in the maneuver services also from Terminals Italy. The maintenance of the CZ LOKO locomotives supplied to the companies of FS Logistix is assured by CZ LOKO Italy
