Norms have been laid down in the Netherlands for large swap bodies derived from models developed earlier by Philips Electronics NV in conjunction with its road haulier contractors.

The standards cover bodies with a length of 8.22 metres and 8.35 metres respectively, both intended for European intermodal transport.
