PORTS FACE RISING TIDE OF CHANGE

OVER the past 10 years, the UK started piquing foreign interest by privatising ports, deregulating dock labour and introducing the Channel tunnel.
The Channel tunnel worked to increase box traffic handled by UK ports by 30 per cent since, according to figures released by the Department of the Environment, Transport and the Regions.
