US and Japanese negotiators made "significant progress" in Washington over the weekend to try to resolve a dispute over access to Japanese ports, according to White House Press Secretary Mile McCurry.
The dispute had threatened to turn into a major trade confrontation, including a US threat to deny Japanese vessels entry to US ports. ......
