Demand for dry bulk cargoes will push trade to record 4.9b tonnes: Unctad

World seaborne trade is expected to grow by 3.8 per cent in 1997, a seven-year high, to a record 4.94 billion tonnes on revitalised demand for dry bulk cargoes, the United Nations trade and development agency Unctad said.
