Chinese shipbuilding: orders collapse as rivals gain edge

China's increasingly desperate shipbuilding industry has called on the government for help, demanding exemption from tax and further export subsidies to enable them to compete with rival shipmakers in Asia that have been boosted by currency devaluations.
