Germany steps up bid for Malaysia pact

GERMANY is putting pressure on Malaysia to finalise a bilateral maritime agreement.
Reaching an agreement could help turn Malaysian ports into a regional hub for German vessels, with more ships calling at Port Klang and other destinations. Talks aimed at striking a deal to open up the two nations' ports to each other have lasted nearly five years.
