COSCO is intending to establish container yards at three ports in Japan's Chugoku region, Hiroshima, Tokuyama and Mizushima before it's planned branching into Kyushu.

This follows the liner's new presence in Matsuyama, Ehemi Prefecture, where it is starting up an import container service to the port via transshipment at Kobe.
