Capacity rise forecast at Nagoya

IT IS predicted that throughput at the Japanese port of Nagoya will grow to 2,210,000-2,490,000 TEU by 2010 from 1,498,000 TEU in 1997.
In order to accommodate the extra capacity, it is thought that the 13-berth port will need four to six more berths, some of which will have a deep water depth of 15 metres.
