Japan's ship export orders down in Feb

Japanese shipyards received export orders for only 12 vessels in February, down from 24 a year earlier, an industry group said yesterday.

In tonnage, February's orderbook dropped 64.1 per cent to 505,060 gross weight tonnes from 1,408,029 gross weight tonnes a year earlier, the Japan Ship Exporters Association said.
