Estonia owners will not sue shipbuilder

[STOCKHOLM]

The owners of the Estonia, the Baltic ferry which sank in 1994 with the loss of 852 lives, are not to sue the German shipyard which built the vessel.

Sweden's Nordstroem och Thulin company and the Estonian state shipping company Esco said that they had nothing to gain from legal action against Meyer Werft, which built the Estonia in 1980.
