Japan's Imbari Shipbuilding Co will begin the construction of a new 10 billion yen (S$117 million) dock at its Saijo yard in Ehime Prefecture later this month.

The yard, which will begin operations in November 2000, is the largest built by a Japanese shipbuilder in 25 years.
