HAVING achieved an appreciable cargo throughput of 29.386 million tonnes in 1998-99, the Calcutta Port is well poised to achieve cargo traffic of over 32 million tonnes in the current year, if the traffic growth in May is any indication, Mr. H.P. Roy, Chairman, Calcutta Port Trust (CPT), said.
