Three Korean shipbuilders are to build 12 very large crude oil carriers (VLCCs) for $840 million, business sources said yesterday. The sources said that Hyundai, Daewoo and Samsung's heavy industries have signed a letter of intent (LOI) with Basil Hellespont Steamship of Greece to build 12 VLCCs.
