Updating our story posted earlier today, Kværner has reportedly turned down the offer for its Govan, Scotland, yard made by Britain's GEC. While GEC did not disclose details of the offer, it apparently amounted to only £1 million (about $1.6 million), with Kværner expected to cover the costs of redundancies for up to five years.
