Cambodian port gets Japanese loan for upgrading

Japan will loan Cambodia 4.1 billion yen (S$66.8 million) to upgrade the southern port of Sihanoukville, the first major renovation since it opened in 1960.

The port expansion is needed to meet demand from an increasing number of container ships arriving there, the English-language Cambodia Daily quoted port officials saying.
