Coflexip agrees to Aker deal

French oil services firm Coflexip Stena Offshore has confirmed it will buy the deepwater division of Norway's Aker Maritime. Coflexip will pay US$513 million plus about $112 million in debt.


Coflexip officials said Sunday the deal would strengthen its geographic presence in deepwater markets, particularly the Gulf of Mexico. Aker's other areas of activity ......
