  • L'EWATA devrait ramener une certaine sérénité dans le trafic sur l'Afrique de l'Ouest
    Si tout se déroule comme prévu, un nouvel "accord/conférence" régissant, du moins en partie, le trafic sur la route entre l'Europe et la côte occidentale de l'Afrique (COA) devrait voir le jour d'ici quelques semaines. D'ores et déjà, le nom de cette nouvelle organisation est connu: "European West Africa Trade Agreement"(EWATA). Le but est évidemment de tenter de ramener une certaine stabilité dans ce trafic qui en a bien besoin, car le moins qu'on puisse dire, c'est qu'il y règne un sérieux désordre.
  • Hupac: 1999 s'est bien terminé
    Les excellents résultats de la fin de 1999 ont permis à la société suisse de transport combiné rail/route Hupac non seulement d'atteindre les objectifs visés, mais même de les dépasser. La croissance notée l'an dernier s'est ainsi élevée à 4,6%. Pour l'année 2000, Theo Alleman, chief executive, avance un chiffre de croissance de 8%.
  • Yucatan Shipping lance un service régulier sur l'océan Indien
    L'expérience de décembre ayant été concluante, l'armement Yucatan Shipping, qui est basé à l'île Maurice, a annoncé le lancement d'un service régulier entre l'Europe du Nord et plusieurs ports de l'océan Indien. Anvers fait office de port de base.
