The Kandla Port Trust (KPT) has exceeded the 1999-2000 fiscal target fixed for it by the Ministry of Surface Transport (MoST) of 42.5 million tonnes by handling a record traffic of 46.3 million tonnes (3.8 million tonnes more).

The traffic handled during 1998-99 was 40.6 million tonnes and thus an additional 5.7 million ......
