MoST vests more financial powers with Major Port Trusts

The Ministry of Surface Transport (MoST) has given financial powers to the heads of departments (HoDs) of Major Port Trusts to execute contracts on behalf of the Board of Trustees for both Plan and non-Plan expenditure up to Rs 50 lakh for Category-I ports and Rs 30 lakh for Category-II ports, according to an official release.
