Opec plans output increases to avoid row over pricing: Oil ministers consider reinstating 1.7m barrels a day

The Organisation of Petroleum Exporting Countries last night considered a plan to reverse production cuts made last March to try to avoid a confrontation with oil-consuming countries, particularly the US.
