Cargo Shipments to NK Rise Sharply

Cargo shipments to North Korean increased drastically last year, reaching 780,000 tons, according to the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (MOMAF).

This is double the amount from 1998, when shipments came to 396,000 tons.

"The sharp increase in shipments shows that inter-Korean economic cooperation increased," said the ministry.
