HAMPTON, Va. - NASA and a Virginia shipbuilder are forming a partnership to study ways to improve hull designs to make ships and submarines more efficient, quieter and faster.

The agreement between Newport News Shipbuilding and NASA Langley Research Center, in Hampton, was announced Friday.
