In a move to bring down stubbornly high oil prices, Saudi Arabia, the world's largest exporter of crude oil, announced plans yesterday to increase production by 500,000 barrels a day.

The decision will go into effect within the next few days "if the price doesn't decrease," according to a statement from the Saudi Arabian oil minister ......
