Son président, Tryggve Sthen, a expliqué à la presse les grands axes des synergies qui seront développées au sein de cette nouvelle entité. Elles seront effectuées au sein des entités Global Powertrain et “3P” (Product Planning, Product Development, Purchasing), communes aux trois marques. Volvo reprend de la sorte la structure que mettait en place l’année passée Odile Desforges pour accroître les synergies entre Renault V.I. et Mack. Par contre, Sthen s’est refusé à tout commentaire sur quelques problèmes épineux, comme l’avenir de la coopération avec Mitsubishi dans le domaine du camion.
