L’accord conclu par les deux parties à l’issue d’une longue procédure de conciliation est un compromis concocté par la présidence belge de l’UE.
  • SNCF Fret fait naître l’espoir d’une reprise rapide des services fret via le Chunnel
    Dans un courrier adressé à la Strategic Rail Authority (SRA) britannique, le patron de SNCF Fret, Françis Rol-Tanguy, a fait savoir que de nouvelles clôtures de sécurité seront installées autour du terminal de fret à Frethun “avant la fin de l’année”, annonce Lloyd’s List. Reste à voir si cela signifie que les services fret sous la Manche retrouveront rapidement leur vitesse de croisière. Ainsi, la SNCF et la RFF, le gestionnaire du réseau ferroviaire français, doivent encore déterminer qui prendra en charge les coûts des clôtures, alors que l’installation des systèmes de surveillance et de détection prendra encore un certain temps.

    La filiale belge de l’entreprise de location de caisses mobiles et semi-remorques Confern Containerpool, a récemment déménagé d’Opglabbeek au Limbourg au Zomerweg dans le port d’Anvers. “L’objectif était de rapprocher davantage notre siège à l’activité de transport”, a déclaré le directeur général Hugo Bertels.
