Cruise ship breaks canal record

A French-built cruise ship on its maiden voyage has become the heaviest vessel ever to pass through the Panama canal.
The cruise ship Infinity, weighing ninety-thousand tonnes, crossed from the Atlantic to the Pacific Ocean -- a distance of some seventy kilometres, last week.
The toll was a record two-hundred thousand dollars.
